Opo Sound – a stationary, dynamic pickup for percussion instruments, mounted inside the drum body through a pre-drilled hole. An excellent device with a maximally clean sound, good detail, sensitivity, and easy installation. You only need to install it correctly once and never touch it again — the most accessible way to amplify your percussion at home. Compatible with virtually all types of drums: cajon, djembe, congas, timpani, udu, mridanga, tambourine, bongo-cajon, and more. The capsule has a large diaphragm that captures even the slightest rustle, and the head is mounted in a floating cup that does not touch the pickup body. This prevents overload stress and eliminates unwanted sounds from the drum box. Passive operation — no cables, no circuits, no additional power required.
Installing the Opo Sound percussion pickup in just three steps:
- Choose the mounting location (for example: in a cajon — at the top of the back panel, opposite the snares; in a djembe — the upper bowl).
- Drill a hole 25mm in diameter.
- Insert the pickup from the inside of the drum into the drilled hole and secure it with a decorative nut on the outside.
