Noise Book Cajon – collapsible drum with snare mechanism and castanets

Noise Book Cajon – a compact, foldable percussion drum with snare adjustment and castanet built into a single wooden body. The Book-style folding system makes it easy to transform a small book-like form into a full musical instrument. Compact dimensions when folded — the cajon can even be carried in a backpack. It assembles and disassembles like a construction kit, forming a single solid unit with no loose, separate parts. The drum consists of five components that fit inside the box when folded:

• soundboard
• top
• bottom
• two pins
• box + castanet

Additional accessories such as castanet, click, tambourine, or shaker can be stored inside the percussion unit during transport.
The parts are joined using metal pins, hinges, and two locking pins. The design is simple, built so that the body remains sealed and does not absorb the tapa’s sound vibrations. There is no deformation when assembled, even when sitting on the two legs and leaning back.
The spring adjustment allows you to change the instrument’s snare sound. The mounting point for castanets is located on the left side of the drum. It is also designed for cymbals, cowbell, and cabasa attachment.
Maximum vertical load: 120 kg. Designs, kit configuration, and colors are discussed before production. Please note that these are handmade items, so slight variations in measurements are possible.
